Sheila Jones

Royal Bank of Canada – VP of Asset Risk Management

Sheila Jones is the Vice President of Asset Risk Management for the Royal Bank of Canada’s Tax Credit Equity Group. She has held several risk management positions with RBC including development risk management. Prior to joining RBCMs, Jones was the Chief Administrative Officer for the Charlotte Housing Authority. In her affordable housing career she has worked with mixed finance multifamily real estate projects funded with low income housing tax credit equity, HOME funds, community development block grants, tax exempt bond financing and a variety of subsidies provided by HUD. Before joining the affordable housing sector Ms. Jones worked in the manufacturing industry where she held several senior level positions in procurement and operations management.   She has nearly twenty years of experience in team leadership and organizational development.

A native of Detroit, MI, she attended Michigan State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts degree in Supply Chain Management. Ms. Jones later earned a Master of Business degree from Wake Forest University. Additionally, she has several industry certifications including Public Housing Asset Management Executive and Tax Credit Compliance.

Ms. Jones has served on the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Secondary School (Treasurer) and the Police Activities League (Finance Committee Chair). She is also the founder of the MACC Institute, a local non- profit organization.

In her spare time, Ms. Jones enjoys running, exercising and golf.
